Part-time Seasonal Environmental Educator

Ohio Nature Education (ONE), located in Licking County, is one of Ohio’s largest outreach environmental education non-profit organizations. We are seeking a seasonal part-time (25-32 hours per week) educator for Spring-Summer 2023. The position starts in early May (flexible) and runs through mid-August. Compensation is $15 per hour. A background check will be mandatory.

Position Responsibilities:

• Lead and assist with environmental education programs, displays, and other events

• Providing care and enrichment to education ambassadors and pitching in where needed

Desired skills/experience:

• Dynamic public speaker with experience conducting environmental education programs for people of all ages

• Knowledge of Ohio’s native wildlife

• Experience handling captive wild animals is desirable but not required

• Candidate must be available for daytime and nighttime, weekday, and weekend outreach programs

• Must have a reliable and appropriate vehicle for transporting education ambassadors to outreach programs in all areas of Ohio
